4 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari Adventure : In this Uganda safari you will visit Kibale National Park where you will see chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, LHoests monkeys among others; the park is famous for chimpanzee tracking, bird watching, nature walks, and wildlife viewing.

Additionally, visitors will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is located 376 kilometers from Kampala in Western Uganda.
The park is home to a large population of mammals (around 95 species) including a tree-climbing lion in the Ishasha sector, elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, and antelopes among others, as well as over 500 species of birds and trees.

There will be plenty of activities available for you on this trip, including a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel, game drives in the park, bird watching, and a visit to the crater lakes.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Pickup and Drive to Kibale National Park

As soon as you arrive in Kampala, your guide/driver will pick you up. Following a briefing from him, later you will depart driving to the west in order to reach Kibale National Park, where you will spend the night. The countryside of the area will amaze you with its views of the Rwenzori Mountain ranges and the surrounding countryside, and there will be an opportunity to stop for lunch along the way.

When you arrive in Kibale, check in at your lodge, and in the afternoon, take a walk in Bigodi wetlands, where you will be able to see many different birds, including those that are endemic to the Albertine region. Later, have dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park and drive to Queen Elizabeth

Get up early in the morning and eat breakfast before heading to the park headquarters so that you are able to get a briefing about chimpanzee tracking so that by 8:00am you can begin your search for these primates in the forest.

Having the opportunity to meet these chimpanzees is one of the greatest things that you will ever do in your life since you will be able to take photographs of these creatures who carry a 98% similar DNA to humans.

There are also other primates that you will be able to spot on the mountain, such as the LHoests monkey, Grey cheeked Mangabey, white and black colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, as well as birds such as the green breasted pitta, rumped tinker bird, and different plant species as well.

Later in the afternoon, after your lunch, you will head back to the lodge, pack your bags, and depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will arrive late in the afternoon. Check-in at the lodge, rest at your lodge in the evening.

Day 3: Game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park and afternoon boat cruise

Following an early morning breakfast, you will go for a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park which will last for approximately three hours along various game trails in search of wildlife such as elephants, antelopes, leopards, lions, waterbucks, among others.

As soon as you get back to the lodge, you will have a chance to enjoy your lunch before going on a 2 hour boat safari tour along the Kazinga channel during which you will have the opportunity to see crocodiles, more herds of buffaloes, elephants, hippos, and also different species of birds.

In the evening drive back to the lodge, have dinner and an overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Visit Lake Katwe and Departure

You will be able to see various salt pans around lake katwe after early morning breakfast, this is an area that is Uganda’s oldest salt mine; you will also be able to see the crater lakes region while driving to lake katwe.

As you proceed to Kampala, you will have a stopover in Masaka for lunch, as well as at the equator, so please make sure you take enough photographs as you make your way to Kampala, reaching the city late in the afternoon.
