Detailed Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up and Drive to Murchison falls national park

On the first day of your Uganda Safari, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, and you will be taken to Murchison Falls National Park, stopping first at Ziwa White Rhino Sanctuary for a 2 hour white rhino trekking experience.

Upon returning from rhino trekking, you will have lunch at a hotel in Masindi before moving on to Murchison Falls national park, where you will be welcomed by an evening game drive before you proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Murchison falls national park

The second day of the six-day Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls Safari will begin with a hearty breakfast before we head out on an early morning game drive with the chance to see nocturnal wildlife and hunters before they return to their hiding places.

During your game drive, you will be able to see elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, Uganda kobs, hippos, and several other species of mammals that can be seen in the savanna vegetation of the park, including elephants, buffaloes, Lions, giraffes, and several kinds of birds.

As soon as your game drive is over, return to the lodge to eat lunch, relax a bit, and meet your safari driver to be taken to Paraa for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile River upstream in order to see the waterfall.

In fact, this is one of the most fascinating activities that has attracted a number of tourists to enjoy the sight of this magnificent water fall. When you are on the boat cruise, keep an eye out for wildlife species such as mammals and birds along the river bank so that you can view more wildlife species as you go. Day 3: Drive to Queen Elizabeth national park

In the morning of the 3rd day, you will enjoy your breakfast before checking out and meeting your safari driver to start your journey between Murchison Falls national park and Queen Elizabeth national park via Masindi-Hoima-Fortpotal road with an enroute lunch in Fortpotal. After lunch, proceed with your journey to the park where you are expected to arrive in the evening, check into your lodge, have dinner served to you and take a rest before heading back to the city.

Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon kazinga channel boat cruise

As you finish your breakfast on day 4 of your Uganda wildlife Safari, meet your Uganda safari driver and be driven directly to Kasenyi plain where all day game drives will be conducted through well-defined tracks throughout the day.

In the course of the game drive, you will be able to spot several wildlife species such as Buffaloes, Uganda kob, antelopes, zebras, warthogs, waterbucks as well as plenty of bird species. A game drive is followed by a return trip to your lodge for lunch followed by a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel where you will see a huge population of hippos and other aquatic wildlife as you cruise amidst a huge population of hippos. Return to your lodge later on for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Game drive in Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park

On day 5 of your 6-day Uganda wildlife safari, your day will begin with a delicious breakfast, followed by a packed lunch, and then you will be transferred to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park for yet another fascinating game drive.

During a game drive in the Ishasha sector of the park, the primary goal is to get a glimpse of the tree climbing lions that are always seen hanging lazily in the tree branches of acacias and fig trees.

Following the game drive, you will be able to enjoy your picnic lunch under the tree shade before returning to the lodge for a relaxing evening, dinner, and a good night’s sleep.

Day 6: Drive back to Kampala for departures

On day 6 of 6 days Uganda wildlife Safari, you will wake up on a relaxed breakfast depending on flight details, then you will check out of the lodge and meet with your safari driver to begin the journey back to Kampala with an enroute lunch break and a stopover at the Equator for a photo session between the Northern and Southern poles as you progress back to Kampala.

Having spent a few moments at the equator, return to Kampala and arrive in the evening where you will be met by an Entebbe international airport representative and be taken to your next destination, based on your itinerary, prior to your night flight both back to your country or to your next destination.
