Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi National Park
Upon arrival in Kampala, our driver guide will meet you at your hotel or place of residence. Before embarking on the long drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, we will have a briefing about what to expect on the journey. The scenic drive will take you through small towns and villages.
After a brief stop at Equator to take pictures, we will proceed on our journey to Mbarara, where we will stop for lunch.
After lunch we continue with our drive to the park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at either Trekkers Travan Cottages or Gorilla mist Lodge. Meal plan: Dinner
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park
On the 2nd day of your 5 Days Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth safari, Upon completing breakfast, we drive to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced park rangers from Uganda Wildlife Authority.
In search of mountain gorillas, we embark on a trek with our picnic lunch. In order to track the gorillas, we need to start at the location where they spent the previous day. Spending time with and observing these gentle giant gorillas is an unforgettable experience that leaves us with lasting memories.
Observing and photographing the little ones as they play and interact is an unforgettable experience. After spending an hour with the gorillas, we will return to our accommodations for the night. Tracking takes between 30 minutes and 8 hours depending on where gorillas last spent their night. Dinner and overnight stay at either Trekkers Travan Cottages or Gorilla mist Lodge. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 3: Bwindi to Queen via Ishasha
On the 3rd day of your 5 Days Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth safari, In the morning, enjoy breakfast before departing for the Queen Elizabeth National Park via Ishasha sector, which is known for its tree climbing lions.
The game drive will begin shortly after we enter the park in the middle of the morning beneath the huge fig trees. We will be looking for the rare tree climbing lions and other game like Elephants, buffaloes, topis,hyenas, gazelles and many more. In the late afternoon, we will continue to the inside part of the park for lunch and relaxation. We will then proceed to the Kazinga Channel for an afternoon boat ride, believed to host the largest concentration of hippos in Africa, migrant birds, and we may be able to observe a variety of other animals. Diner and overnight stay at either Mweya safari (High end facility), Ihamba Safari Lodge (Mid range facility) or Bush Lodge Bandas/Tents (Budget facility) .
Day 4: Morning Chimpanzee trekking and afternoon Game drive
On the 4th day of your 5 Days Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth safari, After breakfast, we will go chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge, which will take four hours. After lunch, we will return to the lodge for a rest and lunch.
On our evening game drive through Kasenyi tracks and Kob mating grounds, we look for lions, elephants, buffalo, hyenas, giant forest hogs and other game; we also have a chance to see a variety of savannah birds. Dinner and overnight stay at either Mweya safari (High end facility), Ihamba Safari Lodge (Mid range facility) or Bush Lodge Bandas/Tents (Budget facility) . Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Day 5: Morning game drive and drive to Entebbe
In the morning, after a cup of coffee, go on a three-hour game drive. Drive back to Entebbe in order to catch your flight.
