 Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

 Travel to Queen Elizabeth: Because to the 6- to 7-hour drive from Kampala/Entebbe to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the first day of the five-day safari demands that you arrive in Uganda at least one day in advance. Depending on where you are, a company representative or safari guide will meet you and give you a briefing on the five-day trip before you go to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the second-largest national park in Uganda and home to the tree-climbing lions. The route offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, which is made up of hills, waterbodies, towns, and local residents. The park is situated in a valley with a view of the Rwenzori mountain ranges in western Uganda. As you go to the park, you will stop at the Equator and eat lunch in Mbarara. As you draw near the park, stop at the twin lakes before continuing to your reserved lodging nearby, or drive there, check in, and then arrange to meet up for an evening game drive in the park. You can explore some of the creatures that are present during an evening game drive, such as elephants, warthogs, and waterbucks. On a lucky evening, you can even see lions, leopards, and hyenas. After that, head back to your lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.

Day 2: Lion tracking/morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.

Day 3: Transfer to Kasese – Mount Rwenzori national park.

Day 4: Hike Mount Rwenzori – Sine Hut (2,680meters)

Having followed breakfast, meet your safari driver and travel to the foothills of Mount Rwenzori. From there, you will begin ascending up from around 1,450 meters to Sine Hut, which is about 2,680 meters high and where you will spend the night. After receiving a briefing on Mount Rwenzori from park officials at the park’s headquarters, you can start the ascent using either the Kilembe Trekking Route or the Rwenzori Central Circuit with your hiking equipment and armed ranger guides. The hike begins early in the morning from the valley floor through the tall trees of the montane forest zone as you continue on a steady climb with sights of birds and some primates like the black and white Colobus monkeys, the Blue monkeys, and L’Hoest monkeys. You may also hear the wild chimpanzees swinging and playing on trees from a distance. Flowers, bamboo thickets, mushrooms, low bushes, moss and lichen, covered vines hanging from tall trees, and other plants are abundant throughout this climb. Depending on your level of fitness, your day climb will bring you to Sine Hut, which is located at about 2,680 meters. Here, you can relax in a wooden hut that is positioned between tall trees on a small ridge while taking in the view of the montane forest and the cool sound of the Enock Falls crashing down over the rocks as you look down. About 200 meters separate these falls from Sine Hut. At Sine Camp, you will have dinner and spend the night.

 Day 5: Descend and return to Kampala/Departure.

Up early, take a cup of tea, and then begin the descent back from your Sine Hut. Leave for Kampala. After saying farewell to your ranger guides and meeting your safari guide who is ready to greet me, depart for Kampala along the Fort Portal-Kampala Road while having lunch along the way. It takes 6-7 hours to drive from Entebbe to Kampala, arriving in the evening. You can either be dropped off at the Entebbe airport for your late-night flight home or proceed to the hotel you have reserved.
