Queen Elizabeth National Park

5 Days Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park, takes you to Uganda’s amazing safari destinations that will offer you the numerous wildlife sightings in their habitants. A Uganda safari can never be complete minus experiencing these two awesome savannah parks in the western part of Uganda.

Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo.

On the first day of 5 days Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park. You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Kampala or another prearranged place, and then you’ll be driven to Lake Mburo National Park with a halt at the equator so the kids can participate in an experiment and take pictures. After arriving at Lake Mburo around midday, continue on to the lodge to check in and eat lunch.

You will have a boat ride on Lake Mburo in the afternoon, which is where the park gets its name. Enjoy the trip, then head back to the hotel to relax, dine, and spend the night at Rwakobo Rock (mid-range) or Mihingo Lodge (luxury).

Day 2: Game drive / Walk and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On the 2nd day of 5 days Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park, wake up early in the morning and be served with breakfast. After breakfast, go on a morning game drive or walking safari with a ranger guide to get up close and personal with animals including antelopes, zebras, and buffaloes. Leaving the park, travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park, stopping in Bushenyi or Ishaka town for lunch. Arrive at Queen Elizabeth late in the day. Dinner and overnight accommodations at the mid-range Queen Elizabeth Safari Lodge or the  Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Game drive and Launch Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

 The 3rd day of the 5 days Mburo and Queen Elizabeth national park, wake up and be served with hearty breakfast. After eating breakfast, go on a game drive to see a variety of animals, including as elephants, lions, and buffalo. You will also go to the Katwe salt pans, where you can see local’s salt mining, which is fun for kids. After lunch, head back to the lodge before taking a launch cruise on the Kazinga channel, which is famous for having the highest concentration of hippos in all of Africa. More game, many bird species, and Nile crocodiles can all be seen in this area. After dinner, stay the night at the lodge as before.

Day 4: Explore Ishasha – Queen Elizabeth National Park.

On the 4th day of the 5 days Mburo and Queen Elizabeth national park. Raise up in the morning and be served with a leisurely breakfast. After breakfast, take a game drive through the Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where there is a possibility to see the elusive tree climbing lions relaxing in healthy trees in the middle of the morning. There are more animals and more species in the Ishasha area, increasing the possibilities of seeing game. After thoroughly exploring Ishasha, head back to the resort to relax and spend the evening taking in the stunning sunset. As before, dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Back to Kampala.

The 5th day of the 5 days Mburo and Queen Elizabeth National Park, wake up and be served with a hearty breakfast. After breakfast, travel return to Kampala while stopping for lunch at the Igongo Cultural Centre outside of Mbarara and touring the museum. Continue to Kampala and arrive there in the afternoon. Drop-off at the Kampala or Entebbe airport hotels in preparation for your next journey. End of safari.
